I made this crown to commemorate the greatest game never played.

Like the sporting event embroidered on the sleeve of the Japanorak, this piece marks a moment the world never got to witness: Dominican Republic vs. Japan in the 2026 World Baseball Classic. A matchup that felt inevitable. A championship game that existed everywhere except on the field.

To honor that unrealized moment, I created a piece of memorabilia for an event that lives only in our hearts and minds. The names of the players who would have defined the game are embroidered on the left panel, preserving the rosters as they stood at the height of anticipation. The crown itself is constructed in Gore-Tex, built to withstand the champagne showers that never came, waiting for a celebration that never happened.
